Asaba, Jan. 14, 2026 (NAN) The National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has pledged to support its branches in cities and states across Nigeria to strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The assurance was made by NACCIMA President, Alhaji Jali Ibrahim, during a working visit to the Asaba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ASACCIMA) secretariat on Wednesday in Asaba.
Ibrahim commended ASACCIMA’s rapid progress, describing it as a model for other chambers to emulate.
He emphasised that facilitating access to single-digit interest loans for MSMEs remained a core priority of NACCIMA.
“ASACCIMA will benefit from our programmes and activities, including advocacy, enabling business environments, and access to markets,” he said.
Ibrahim said that ASACCIMA could participate in more than 40 NACCIMA committees to network, share ideas, and expand opportunities for its members.
He also announced plans to link State and City Chambers with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) to enable the branding and export of locally manufactured goods.
Ibrahim stressed the need for high-quality products that meet certification standards.
He praised ASACCIMA Chairman, Chief Chinwe Monu-Oduah, who also serves as Regional Vice President of the Coalition of South-South Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (COSSCCIMA), for her enthusiasm since assuming office.
Responding, Chief Monu-Oduah expressed gratitude for the visit, calling it inspiring.
She  urged NACCIMA to honour its commitments, especially regarding NEPC linkage.
Monu-Oduah highlighted challenges faced by MSMEs in accessing credit from federal and state authorities, as well as regional Chambers, and requested intervention to ease funding barriers.
She emphasised the importance of product packaging and quality, urging NACCIMA’s support to help members meet Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and NAFDAC certification requirements, which are critical for market competitiveness.(NAN)
