As the nation awaits, the outcome of Presidency’s action over the report on the procurement of two bullet proof cars for the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, the minister last weekend allegedly organized a stage-managed assassination attack on her car.
This, sources in the aviation sector revealed that is a decoy organized by her to escape the hammer of sack by the presidency.
President Goodluck Jonathan had on arrival from London on Sunday confirmed that the report of the 3-man panel set up to probe the controversial bullet-proof car purchase had been submitted to him.
Though, he did not give an hint on the next line of action over the issue.
An escalade car with plate number FST 914 BL belonging to the Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, was said to have been shot at earlier on Friday by
unknown gunmen.
It was gathered that none of the three occupants was hit but three shot were fired by the ‘assassins’ at the car
The incident which happened around 10.30 pm has been reported to the police. Various sources who spoke on this have however dismissed it as a fairytale to swing Presidency’s decision in the Minister’s favour b justifing the need for the car.
“We can tell you that there was no such assassination attempt on the minister. What attempt and where?” the sources asked.
According to them, the minister does not stay out that late on Fridays. They dared the minister to name the three persons with her on that fateful day.
Other sources described the minister’s claim as fallacy, as there was no such attempt.
When reminded that the minister reported to the police, the source stated that it must have been planned by the minister as a diversionary method to remove the minds of Nigerians from her illegal purchase of N255 million Bullet proof BMW cars.
The source further opined that the minister is full of tricks who wanted to justify why the need for bullet proof cars by her.
They challenge the minister to produce the car for examination for the world to see if truly she was shot at, wondering further why she was nit in shock if she was not aware of it.
