Ibadan, April 2, 2026 (NAN) The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Thursday, dragged one Usman Adedokun before a Federal High Court in Ibadan, for allegedly peddling 390g of Cannabis Sativa.
The defendant is standing trial on a one-count charge of drug trafficking, pending before Justice Uche Agomoh.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Following his plea, the court ordered his remand at the Agodi correctional centre, and adjourned the case until April 27, for hearing.
In the charge, the prosecutor, Mrs A.A. Balogun, alleged that the defendant committed the offence on Jan. 28, at the Basorun area of Ibadan.
He alleged that operatives of the NDLEA had apprehended the defendant for being in possession of a bag containing 390g of Cannabis Sativa alias hemp.
The offence contravenes the provisions of section 11(C ) of the NDLEA Act Cap N30 Law of the Federation 2004. (NAN)
