3 docked over alleged theft of items valued N2m

Three persons, Emmanuel Bulus, Solomon Alex and Tobias Solomon were on Thursday arraigned before a Magistrates Court over alleged theft of items valued N2 million.

Bulus, 26, Alex 28, and Solomon, 25, are being charged with theft, criminal conspiracy and house breaking, to which they pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, Daniel Torkange told the court that the complainant, Mike Lorchir, reported the matter at the Mararaba Police Station on Monday.

Torkange sad that Bulus broke into the premises of Redeemed Christian Church of God, vandalized two windows and put them in a sack.

He further said that the defendant stole an amplifier, generator, speaker, fan, drums, wires, plastic chairs among others valued N2million.

The prosecutor further said that during investigation, it was discovered that Bulus committed the crime with Alex and Solomon.

He said that the offences contravened Section 97,346 and 288 of the penal code.

The Senior Magistrate, Joy Faruk admitted the defendants to bail in the sum N500,000 with one surety in like sum.

She ordered that the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction, and should provide reliable means of identification.

Faruk adjourned the matter until May 20 for hearing.(NAN)
