Fierce social media debate have trailed the trending online fallout between popular television host and media personality, Frank Edoho  and his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya,

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that social media users are heavily divided over accusations and counter-accusations of infidelity and financial exploitation between the estranged couple, following their failed marriage.

Edoho and Onyenucheya got married in 2014 and have two children together before reports of separation trailed the union.

The long-standing rift blew into the public space over the weekend following a leaked audio recording where Edoho claimed he repeatedly begged his wife to end an alleged affair with singer Chike.

However, in a swift counter-accusation, Onyenucheya shared a post on her Instagram page denying the alleged affair, adding that she was faithful while the marriage lasted.

Sandra further described Edoho as “a dead beat”, accusing him of cheating, emotional abuse and abandoning his responsibilities as a father.

She alleged that Edoho was financially dependent on her, as she funded their lifestyle as a couple.

As the “war of words” continued, Edoho fired back at allegations of infidelity and financial irresponsibility, stating that Onyenucheya’s alleged relationship with singer Chike was what led to the collapse of the marriage.

According to him, he initially attempted to salvage the relationship for the sake of their children despite allegedly discovering evidence of an affair between his wife and the singer.

However, the public spat has triggered a massive wave of reactions online, with social media users taking sides.

Supporters of Onyenucheya expressed empathy for her situation, arguing that women often bear silent burdens, while many condemned the alleged affair between her and Chike.

@Gboye_Rave said, “Modern cheating is crazy because people will cheat and still get angry that you found out”.

An X user, @Presh_Adah, wrote: “I believe Sandra. Women endure a lot just to keep their homes together until they get to their breaking point.

“It’s sad how she built him up only for him to allegedly disrespect her with other women.”

@christieihe said, “See no woman wants to break her marriage! For a woman to choose herself and move on like this, she go don see shege”.

@uchebambam said, “the things African women deal with to stay married, that’s why when they’re done, they’re sooo done.”

Conversely, other netizens defended the media host, questioning the validity of the financial abuse allegations given Edoho’s decades-long career.

@SizweBansii argued: “When a woman is richer than her husband, any small issue, she will remind the world that she pays the bills.

“Frank Edoho has his own money, so Sandra claiming she funded his entire life sounds like an exaggeration out of anger.”

@wesleygold1 wrote, “So you mean he cheated and you decided to cheat back. Wonder shall never end. Why not just leave if you can’t forgive and move on”?

@Do2dtun wrote;”Na man you be. My neighbour, your eyes don see . You’re a strong man. I am proud of you”.

Meanwhile, some commentators focused on the alleged involvement of singer Chike, expressing disappointment over his inclusion in the marital dispute.

“Chike really disappointed me in this whole drama. Why would you get involved with a married woman, let alone Frank Edoho’s wife? The evidence is out there, and it’s a big stain on his brand,” @odogwu_ogidi posted.

An Instagram user @amgiant_01 commented, “I hope Chike will marry her now, as she is divorced? Because it’s Chike that genuinely loves her and gives her all she need .

“Chike is the real guy for her as we all assume now,the  let wait for their wedding because he is the person that genuinely loves her, not the ex-husband. Una go learn someday”.

@fadafadaofficial said, “cheating doesn’t justify you madam, if you’re tired of the marriage why can’t you just leave? This Is medicine after death”.

@peerless.pearl commented, “Malice may last for the night  but chike comes in the morning, Chike you did this for us sisterhood is proud of you! in chike we trust”.

However, amidst the recriminations, some social media users condemned the  public nature of the fallout, citing its negative impact on the couple’s children.

Expressing this sentiment, @susylicious2023 stated: “This Frank Edoho and Sandra story is just sad. Two adults dragging themselves on the internet over infidelity and money.

“Whatever happened to settling divorces quietly behind closed doors, especially because of the kids?(NAN)
