The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has sensitized students of Government Secondary School (GSS), Suleja, to the ban on “sign-out” practice among graduating students.

Speaking at the event, the Zonal Coordinator, NOA in Suleja, Alhaji Mohammad Awwal said the practice was banned following an incident that occurred in Ogun.

He explained that the recent trend, known as “sign-out,” involved students signing their names on one another’s uniforms.

He said the act “often leads to indecent and immoral behavior among students.”

According to him, the Federal Government has warned that anyone caught engaging in the practice will face prosecution and possible imprisonment.

The NOA coordinator also addressed issues concerning security, urging the students to remain vigilant and report suspicious individuals, group or acts.

He advised that: “If you see something, say something,” advising the students to immediately inform their teachers whenever they notice anyone acting suspiciously.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the NOA official also distributed pamphlets containing the new National Anthem to the students and encouraged them to learn and memorize it. (NAN)
