Afrobeat superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, says he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 monthly on his personal lifestyle, excluding expenses on his wife, family, luxury cars and jewelries.
Davido disclosed this during a livestream with DavrelTV, where he spoke about the financial demands of maintaining his status as one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
He said: “I spend $200K-$300K monthly, minus my wife, family, buying cars and jewelry.”
The singer explained that the amount caters for his personal lifestyle and other expenses associated with his career in the entertainment industry.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Davido is one of Africa’s most successful music artistes, with several international collaborations, hit songs, sold-out concerts and endorsement deals contributing to his global profile.
The “I Know Who I Be” crooner is widely credited with introducing a high-rolling, flamboyant lifestyle to the Nigerian music industry, making flashy displays of wealth mainstream.
The singer frequently travels using private jets and has built an impressive garage that includes exotic cars, such as his well-publicized acquisitions of high-end vehicles.
