Akeredolu condemns renovation work at NYSC camp in Ikare Akoko

The Ondo State governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu has expressed displeasure over the ongoing renovation works at the NYSC Orientation camp in Ikare Akoko.

Mr. Akeredolu stated this while inspecting renovation of some camp hostels shortly after declaring close the orientation course of 2017 batch A, stream two.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde, the governor said the only block completed by the contractor was a shady job.

He however directed officials of the Ministry of Sports and Youths Development to ensure that the contractor was asked to correct the renovation work.

Addressing the Corps members, Governor Akeredolu however gave assurance that various challenges facing the scheme in the state would be addressed within the shortest possible time

He urged employers of labour in the state to accept and accommodate Corp members deployed to their offices for them to put in their best while in service.

The state’s number one citizen also used the occasion to challenge the Corp members to put in their best in their various places of primary assignment, noting that hardwork remains the bedrock of success.

He also urged them to make their sojourn in the state a worthwhile experience, as he encouraged them to visit various tourist centers within the state.
