Nigeria Professional Football League sides Enyimba International and Enugu Rangers have been invited to participate in FIFA’s Covid-19 fund raising tournament.

In a bid to bolster the fight against the pandemic around the world and ease its effect on football and its major actors, FIFA plans to organise the competition in its different affiliated confederations.

Each Confederation will have 16 popular teams from the continent to play in the competition, according to local laws on ease of lockdown and safety measures.

TP Mazembe, Enyimba FC, Enugu Rangers, Kaizer Chiefs, Al Ahly, Hearts of Oak, Esperance, Orlando Pirates, Zesco United, KCC, Gor Mahia, El Merik, Wydad , AS Vita, Raja Casablanca and Zamalek are the clubs that will play for charity in Africa.

FIFA will reward clubs in Zurich during an award to the champions and the proceeds from this competition will be managed by FIFA.
