The Khadimiyya for Justice and Development Initiative (KJDI), an NGO, has inaugurated a motorized borehole it drilled for the people of Gudai community in Gwandu Local Government Area in Kebbi.

While inaugurating the borehole in Birnin Kebbi on Friday, the Coordinator of the NGO, Alhaji Abubakar Labaran, assured the community of the NGO’s readiness to continue assisting people in all aspects of life.

He said: “The Intervention in healthcare, agriculture, education and social services is our top priority.

“It is the reason and wisdom behind the establishment of Khadimiyya foundation by the Attorney- General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN).

“Malami was deeply touched with your condition of drawing water from well with camel.

“This prompted him to immediately instruct his foundations to expedite action towards providing a motorized borehole as an alternative source of drinking water to the community.”

Labaran also expressed happiness as the people in the community were using the borehole.

“I am happy as you have started enjoying potable water without sweats and tears,” he noted.

Labaran urged the people of the community to utilise the borehole judiciously and ensure its maintenance.

Responding on behalf of the community, Alhaji Malam Malami, the Village Head of the Area, thanked the founder and management of Khadimiyya for the efforts in making lives of the less-privileged better.

He also prayed Allah to reward the members of the foundation abundantly, and assured them that the borehole would be judiciously utilized and maintained. (NAN).
