There was a minor fire outbreak at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Electoral Institute in Abuja on Saturday night. Materials to be used for the forthcoming general elections were however not affected as the fire was swiftly contained. The Chief Press Secretary to the chairman of the commission, Mr. Kayode Idowu, confirmed the incident. He also assured that the fire didn’t affect any electoral materials.
