Pastor Ezekiel Kayode of Christ Glory Church, Ilorin, has advised youths in the country to celebrate Christmas and New year with utmost decency, morality and modesty.
Kayode, who gave the advice in Ilorin on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN),said youths should celebrate morally, and not cause public disturbance or nuisance.
According to him, most youths are fond of engaging in wild celebration, all in the name of festivity, and behave uncontrollably.
“We are celebrating the birth of Christ Jesus but we need to be guided and do things morally. Christ is peace and love.
“You are expected to dress decently and responsibly. For instance, it is not that you must go to beer parlor joints or do other on toward things before you can celebrate. Don’t go and drink to stupor all in the name of celebration.
” Obey the traffic rules and don’t cause any unrest during the course of your celebration. Be polite in whatever you are doing,” he said.
The cleric also called on the public to pray for an end to the many challenges facing the country.(NAN)
