Deeply concerned about recent malicious campaigns being waged against Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, APC says it intends to empower Nigerians and provide updates on the campaign trail.

APC alleges that PDP and the Labour Party have found no other option than to attack Tinubu with slanderous remarks. They are spreading blatant lies in their latest campaign against him.

In one of the falsehoods being circulated, especially in the North West of the country, Tinubu is said to harbour plans to relocate the Federal Capital from Abuja to Lagos on succeeding President Muhammad Buhari on May 29th, 2023.

In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, APC’s Director, Media & Publicity, says that one of the reasons for the campaign of misinformation is as a result of some PDP elders paid to create confusion aside from the elders that are opposed to Buhari due to their ideologies.

The statement further states that ‘It’s shocking to think of people who are willing to lie so egregiously, all in the name of politics. The time it must have taken for them to contrive such a clever lie on their own just to confuse and mislead our supporters that reside in that part of the country is staggering’.

We can assure you that Asiwaju does not have any such plans and will not take any such actions. Recklessness is in no way part of our ethos, which is rooted in the Constitution.

The same purveyors of falsehood are also attempting to distort the commercialization of Nigeria’s National Petroleum Company Limited by the APC government.

”Buhari has not privatized NNPC. We can say this and back it with evidence because he’s made it a commercial entity that is owned by the three tiers of government.

Eventually, the company will be in a position to declare and share dividends – just like Aramco of Saudi Arabia and Petrobas of Brazil.

As the future President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Tinubu will take on Buhari’s policies. Unlike Atiku, he has no plans to sell NNPC to his friends or cronies”
