LAGOS – In a festive celebration of loyalty and commitment, Dangote Cement Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading cement producers, hosted a lavish awards ceremony for its dedicated distributors over the weekend. The event, held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, showcased the company’s appreciation for the distributors’ unwavering support and their significant role in the success of Dangote Cement.
The Distributors’ Award Ceremony recognised the distributors’ steadfast commitment, devotion, and valuable contributions to the distribution and sale of Dangote Cement throughout 2023. Key distributors gathered to enjoy the festivities, with the highlight being the presentation of enticing rewards to express gratitude for their loyalty.
Entertainment was provided by popular Nigerian artists Kizz Daniel and Tuface Idibia, while the event drew the presence of distinguished guests, including Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group; former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Executive Chairman of Geregu Power, Femi Otedola; and former Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
Addressing the audience, Mr. Arvind Pathak, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive of Dangote Cement, expressed his eternal gratitude to the distributors and customers for their loyalty, acknowledging their role in showcasing the uniqueness of the Dangote Cement brand.
Hajia Fatima Dangote, Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations, assured distributors of the enduring partnership between the company and its distributors. She urged them to continue promoting Dangote Cement and promised ongoing appreciation for their efforts.
Aliko Dangote, in his remarks, credited the distributors and customers for making Dangote Cement the undisputed leader in the Nigerian cement market. He highlighted the company’s capacity to meet local demands and its recent expansion into exporting products beyond Nigeria.
Dangote stated, “Our success story would not have been possible without you, our distributors, who work tirelessly to ensure that the product gets to our customers in every nook and cranny of the country.” He also celebrated corporate customers’ confidence in Dangote Cement’s quality.
At the awards ceremony, Kazab Heritage Limited was honoured as the overall Best Distributor of the Year, with Gilbert Igweka Global Concept and Nwa Ado Resources Nigeria Limited securing second and third positions nationally. Regional winners were also recognised.
Otunba Kazeem Olayemi Odeyeyiwa of Kazab Heritage Limited, speaking on behalf of the distributors, expressed gratitude to Dangote Cement’s management and pledged continued efforts to enhance sales in their respective areas of operation.
