DELTA STATE, NIGERIA – Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, a former member of the House of Representatives representing the Ika federal constituency of Delta State, has passed away, according to reliable sources.
The outspoken politician and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reportedly died on Wednesday night while watching the semi-final match of the AFCON 2023 tournament between Nigeria and South Africa.
Sources familiar with the incident revealed that Ojougboh collapsed as soon as a penalty kick was awarded against Nigeria during the highly anticipated match in Bouake, Ivory Coast.
