Abuja, February 21, 2024: President Bola Tinubu has greenlit the appointment of Deputy Comptroller-General Kemi Nanna Nandap as the new Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), effective March 1, 2024.

DCG Nandap assumes the role, succeeding Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju, whose tenure concludes on February 29, 2024. Prior to her elevation as Comptroller-General, Nandap served as the Deputy Comptroller-General overseeing the Migration Directorate of the Service.

President Tinubu expressed confidence that the newly appointed Comptroller-General would advance the ongoing reforms within the service. The President expects Nandap to institute a robust framework for efficient and dedicated service delivery to Nigerians. Additionally, he anticipates her efforts will bolster the nation’s security by enhancing proactive and effective border security and migration management.

The appointment of DCG Nandap comes at a critical juncture as Nigeria seeks to address various challenges related to immigration and border security.
