The Accident Investigation Bureau has announced that the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) from the ill-fated Beechcraft King Air 350i Aircraft, have been recovered.

The plane crash, which occurred on landing on Friday May 21 in Kaduna state, claimed 11 lives including the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Attahiru, his aides, and the flight crew.

The bureau’s General Manager of Public Affairs, Tunji Oketunbi in a statement said the agency has been mandated by the Nigerian Air Force to “lead the Investigation into the crash” of the military aircraft.
