ILCS celebrates Fasina on appointment as Oyo Head of Service, hails Makinde

The Institute of Leadership Coaching and Strategy (ILCS) has congratulated its member, Dr Adenike Fasina, on her appointment as the Head of Service of Oyo State.

The institute described the appointment as a fitting reward for 26 years of dedicated service, professionalism, discipline and commitment to public service.

ILCS said this in a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by its Head, Media Team, Mr Jide Ologun, and the President and Chairman of Council, Dr Olasunkade Azeez.

The institute said that Fasina’s emergence was not surprising in view of her outstanding record in the Oyo State Civil Service.

It added that Fashina distinguished herself through exemplary service and had won the Oyo State Merit and Productivity Award twice.

According to the statement, the appointment reflects recognition of competence, dedication and excellence in public service.

The institute also commended Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for what it described as a merit-based appointment process.

“ILCS commends His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for making a merit-based appointment founded on competence, experience and proven capacity.

“The Institute notes that the appointment demonstrates the governor’s commitment to excellence, fairness, equity and the continued advancement of a vibrant and efficient civil service.

“The appointment further underscores the administration’s resolve to reward diligence, professionalism and dedication in public service,” it said.

The institute also paid tribute to the immediate past Head of Service, Chief Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, for her contributions to the state public service.

It described Oni as a distinguished Fellow of the institute who served the state with diligence and professionalism.

According to ILCS, her tenure was marked by transformative reforms that strengthened the Oyo State Civil Service.

“The Institute also pays tribute to the immediate past Head of Service, Chief Mrs. Olubunmi Oni, mni, FILCS.

“Her tenure was characterised by diligence, professionalism and transformative reforms within the Oyo State Civil Service.

“ILCS acknowledges her invaluable contributions and the strong foundation she has laid for the continued growth and modernisation of the service,” it stated.

The institute urged Fasina to consolidate the gains recorded under her predecessor.

It advised her to strengthen institutional capacity and advance policies that would further improve the civil service.

The institute expressed confidence in her ability to provide purposeful leadership and sustain ongoing reforms.

“The institute encourages Dr Fasina to build on these achievements by consolidating on going reforms, strengthening institutional capacity and advancing policies.

“These efforts will further position the Oyo State Civil Service as a model of efficiency, professionalism and innovation within the Nigerian federation.

“ILCS is confident that under Dr Fasina’s leadership, the Oyo State Civil Service will attain greater heights,” it said.

The institute also expressed readiness to strengthen its relationship with the Oyo State Civil Service.

It said the collaboration would focus on leadership development, capacity building, strategic planning and institutional strengthening.

According to the statement, such partnerships are essential for building an efficient and responsive public service.

“Looking ahead, ILCS expresses its readiness to deepen the cordial relationship it already enjoys with the Oyo State Civil Service.

“The Institute is particularly eager to collaborate in the areas of leadership development, capacity building, strategic planning, policy formulation and institutional strengthening.

“The collaboration will contribute to elevating the service and reinforcing Oyo State’s reputation as a progressive sub-national entity,” it said.
