The Police on Monday arraigned a 24-year-old man, Emmanuel Ogunniyi, in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over an alleged house breaking and stealing.
Ogunniyi, whose address was not provided, was charged with house breaking and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp Elisha Tellang told the court that the defendant committed the offences on June 1, at about 6.00 p.m, at Apata area, Ibadan.
He said the defendant broke into the house of Pelumi Toheeb, with the intent to commit felony.
Tellang said that the defendant stole one I Phone 12 pro worth N500, 000 belonging to Toheeb.
He said the offences contravened Sections 412 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs M. Olagbenro granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300, 000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Oct. 14, for hearing. (NAN)
