Ibadan, Sept. 19, 2025 (NAN) A 38-year-old defendant, Taye Afeez, on Friday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing block moulding machines belonging to a complainant.
Afeez, whose address was not provided, is standing trial on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
He however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, ASP Musbau Lawal, told the court that the defendant committed the offence between July 3 and July 18, at the Oje area of Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendant conspired with others who are now at large, to commit the offence.
According to him, the defendant stole two block moulding machines, a pillar machine and four chickens, all belonging to one Mr Tajudeen Bello.
Lawal, said that the stolen items are valued at N350,000.
The offence contravenes the provisions of sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mr Olaolu Olanipekun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with one surety in like sum.
He held that the surety must be a blood relation of the defendant.
The court adjourned the case until Oct.15, for hearing. (NAN)
