President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party has defeated the candidate of the All progressives Congress, Gen Muhammadu Buhari in Imo State. He scored 559,185, as against Buhari’s 133,253.
The elections, which held last Saturday across the country, had Imo as one of the trouble spots. Hundreds of APC members yesterday staged a demonstration in Owerri, Imo State capital, calling for the cancellation of the poll.
Governor Okorocha had also allegedly torn result sheets, claiming that INEC and security agencies denied voters a chance to vote.
