The member House of Representative,Igabi Federal Constituency, Hussaini Muhammad -Jallo, during the inauguration of 250 solar-powered street lights in Rigasa, Kaduna
Rep. Hussaini Jallo (PDP-Kaduna) on Tuesday Inaugurated 250 units of solar-powered street lights in Rigasa Ward , Igabi Local Government Area.
Jalo represents the Igabi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the street lights would be installed in Hayin Malam Bello, Hayin Dan-mani, Nariya and Hayin Rigasa.
The event took place at the Sarkin Hayin Malam Bello Palace with traditional leaders, community leaders, women and youth of the community in attendance.
Jalo urged the members of the community to take ownership of the project and ensure its proper maintenance and safety.
He appreciated them for voting him in spite of the challenges he faced during the election, assuring them of more developmental projects in the constituency.
” Apart from these street lights, we are working towards building solar-powered boreholes to provide potable water for the people, while new transformers are on their way to address black out.
“We will try as much as possible to empower the farmers with fertilizers very soon while we will train our teaming youths in different vocational skills so that they can be self-reliant, “he said.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Kabiru Isah, the traditional Head of Hayin Malam Bello has commended the lawmaker for the gesture, saying that the project was a ‘fulfilled promise.’
Isah, who was represented by Aminu Yakubu, the Garkuwan Hayin Malam Bello said that the chiefdom has taken ownership of the project and would ensure that it was maintained and protected ..
Similarly , Aliyu Ya’u, a community leader commended Jallo and urged him to look into the matter of youths unemployment in the ward to reduce crimes and criminality. (NAN)
