Singapore to raise retirement age to 64 years

Singapore will raise retirement age from 63 to 64 years in 2026.
Manpower Minister Tan See Leng announced this at the Parliament on Monday.
He added that “re-retirement age will also be raised from 68 to 69 years.”
He said that about 20 percent of Singapore’s citizens were 65 years of age and older by June 2023, adding, however, that the total fertility rate dropped to 0.97 in 2023, the first time it fell below one in the country’s history. (Xinhua/NAN)
