He added that “re-retirement age will also be raised from 68 to 69 years.”
He said that about 20 percent of Singapore’s citizens were 65 years of age and older by June 2023, adding, however, that the total fertility rate dropped to 0.97 in 2023, the first time it fell below one in the country’s history. (Xinhua/NAN)
