Ibadan, Oct. 27, 2025 (NAN) The police on Monday, charged a 33-year-old woman, Eniola Olamide, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, over alleged stealing.
The defendant, whose address was not provided, is standing trial on charges of stealing.
She, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Insp. Elisha Tellang, told the court that the defendant committed the offence between Sept.6, and Oct.14, at the Ologuneru area of Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendant stole the total sum of N916,570 belonging to her employer, one Mr Badmus Hammed.
Tellang said that the defendant was eventually arrested following police investigations, and a charge preferred against her.
The offence contravenes the provisions of section 390(9) of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Moyosore Atanda, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Nov. 14, for hearing. (NAN)
