A middle aged woman, Nusaiba Hussaini on Monday appeared before a Shari’a court sitting at Magajin Gari Kaduna for allegedly insulting and assaulting 20- year-old Asma’u Abdullahi.
The complainant, who resides at Mai Unguwa Idi Road, Abakpa area alleged that she was walking along the road when Hussaini met her and started insulting her but she didn’t respond.
” She slapped me and beat me for reasons best known to her; this happened six months ago as I have been looking forward to reporting her to the authorities but she was not available.
” I want this honorable court to intervene and grant me justice, “she said.
On her part, the defendant denied the allegations, saying that they were untrue.
The Judge, Malam Anas Khalifa, adjourned to July 22 for the complainant to present witnesses and granted bail to the accused on the condition that she provides a reliable surety.(NAN
