The institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Kehinde, disclosed this at a news conference to herald the 32nd convocation of the university scheduled for Saturday.

He said that 164 students would bag Third Class and 274 Master degrees, while 30 would be graduating with postgraduate diplomas.

The vice chancellor stated that the university had continued to focus on teaching, research, and community engagement, in line with its mandate.

He said that the institution, which initially had three colleges, could now boast of 10 colleges, adding that the 11th college would be approved before the end of the year.

“We have also added new programs to our academic activities.

“We now have Library and Information Science, Cyber Security and Data Science, Software Engineering and Information System, Information Technology, and Industrial Chemistry.

“All these programs have been accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). All 38 academic programs of the institution are fully accredited,” he said.

The vice chancellor also hinted that 11 federal government projects were currently going on at the university.

He expressed appreciation to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for the support to the institution, saying that 19 projects were currently running in the university under the agency. (NAN)
