3 friends docked for allegedly stealing railway bolts, nut

Ibadan, Feb.16, 2026 (NAN) Three friends: Sunday Tajudeen, 21, Ismail Sarafa, 22 and Abdulamid Taiwo, 20, were on Monday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan for allegedly stealing railway bolts and nut.

The trio whose addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which they pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Samuel Owolabi, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on Feb.11, at about 2.00 p.m., at Olodo area of Ibadan.

Owolabi alleged that the defendants stole two Washer bolts and one nut worth N10,000, belonging to the Nigeria Railway Cooperation.

He said the offences contravene provisions of Sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Gladys Olanrewaju, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N20,000 each and one surety each in like sum.

She held that the sureties must be a biological parent of each of the defendants and adjourned the case until March 9, for hearing. (NAN)
