Sango-Ota(Ogun), Aug.19, 2015 (NAN) A 23-year-old man, Wisdom Honesty, was on Tuesday arraigned in an Ota Magistrates ‘Court in Ogun, over alleged assault.
Honesty, whose address was not provided, is facing a charge of assault.
The Prosecutor, ASP E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on July 24, at about 9.00 in Ibrahim area, Ota.
He alleged that the defendant assaulted the complainant, Akinwande Olwatosin, by hitting her with a blow when a fight broke out between them.
The Prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 356 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs O.O.Fadairo, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum.
Fadairo said that the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to Ogun Government.
The case was adjourned until Aug.25, for further hearing.(NAN)
