Ibadan, Sept.18, 2025(NAN) The police on Thursday arraigned one Osholaja Oloyede, 42, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan for allegedly receiving a stolen goat.
Oloyede, whose address was not provided was charged with receiving She-Goat, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, CPL David Adepoju told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Aug. 20, at about 11:30 a.m, at Soka area of Ibadan.
Adepoju alleged that the defendant received the goat worth N50,000 from one Azeez Kolawole, knowing same was stolen from its rightful owner, Mrs Rofiat Riliwan.
He said that the offence contravened Section 427 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Kausarat Ayofe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 and one responsible surety in like sum.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case until Nov. 6, for hearing. (NAN)
