Lagos, Jan.15,2026(NAN) The Chairman, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State, Mr Kehinde Oloyede-Almaroof, has charged teachers in the area to be more committed and dedicated to classroom work.
The chairman gave the advice in a statement on Thursday.
He commended the dedication and commitment of teaching and non-teaching staff to the moulding of pupils in the area but charged them to do more.
Oloyede-Almaroof also urged the teachers to sustain the efforts in imparting knowledge, discipline, and values that would prepare pupils for greatness.
“Let me use this occasion to welcome our pupils, the leaders of tomorrow, back to school for the second term of the 2025/2026 academic session.
“Your passion and commitment to the noble task of moulding pupils for greatness are deeply appreciated. I want to assure you that, as a government, such dedication is recognised and will continue to be appreciated.
“To our pupils, who represent our future, on behalf of the government and people of our dear local government, I welcome you to this academic session.
“I enjoin you to pay close attention to your studies and excel, so that you can contribute immensely to the development of our beloved country.”
He assured residents that his administration would continue to prioritise investments in education through the provision of an enabling learning environment.
He said that he would sustain infrastructure development, and the creation of a level playing field for the growth and development of young learners.
According to him, hundreds of students and pupils in the local government will benefit from the favourable education policies that ensure more development in the sector.
“We are also assuring the teachers and non teaching staff of adequate welfare packages to ensure efficiency in discharging your duties,” he added.
Public and private schools in Lagos state resumed on Monday, Jan.11 for second term of the 2025/26 academic session.(NAN)
