The police on Monday, dragged two men before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.
The defendants are: Oyewole Akinola, 30; and Daniel Olasunkanmi, 30,
The duo whose addresses were not stated, are standing trial on charges bordering on conspiracy and stealing .
They, each, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, Insp. Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on March 19, at about 5.00 a.m., at Odo-Ona Kekere, Ibadan.
Adegbenro alleged that the defendants conspired to steal a TVS motorcycle worth N140,000, belonging to one Mr Babatunde Osho.
The offences contravene the provisions of Sections 390(9) and 517 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 each and one surety each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until May 4, for hearing. (NAN)
