A 39-year-old Ibrahim Akinade was on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over alleged threat to life.
Akinade, whose address was not provided, was charged with threat to life, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp Elisha Tellang, said that the defendant committed the offence on May 13, at about 1.02 p.m., at Oluyole area of Ibadan.
Tellang alleged that the defendant threatened one Oluseyi Areeson by sending text messages to him that he would cause strain on him and his mother.
He said the offence contravened Section 86 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwaferanmi Raji, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until July 9, for hearing. (NAN)
