Following the tenure expiration of the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) last week, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstitution of a new board, whose tenure will take effect from next week.
The previous’ board was appointed in 2016.
The members of the new board are Mohammed Lawal (North West), Tajudeen Umar (North East), Adamu Mahmood Attah (North Central), Senator Magnus Abe (South South), Dr Stephen Dike (South East) and Chief Pius Akinyelure (South West).
According to a statement released by the Presidential Media Adviser, Femi Adesina, the new board will be in place for three years.
