The Federal Government on Friday received the donation of personal protective equipment (PPEs) from China to further strengthen the fight against COVID-19 disease in the country.
The PPEs will come in handy to protect front line health workers from exposures to the virus while on duty.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, received the medical supplies on behalf of the Federal Government from the China Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria.
The items include: 40,000 disposable masks, 1,500 disposable medical protective suit and 1 ‘Infra Red’ thermal imaging thermometer unit.
Representatives of the Chinese Chamber were – Tristan, Director General (DG) of the Chinese Chamber and Kelvin Yang of Huawei Technologies Co. NIG. LTD.
