The General Overseer and President of the United Apostolic Church of Christ Worldwide, Rev. James Bayo-Oweyemi, reflected on the progress of the Church in the last one year on Saturday.

Rev. Bayo-Oweyemi, who became the church’s leader one year ago, said it had expanded physically and socially to the glory of God.

He told newsmen in Lagos that the stock-taking was essential to ascertain the direction, progress and projection of the church.

Rev. Bayo-Oweyemi was anointed the spiritual leader of the church at its 2020 convention in Akure.

He charged leaders, political and religious to be responsive to the yearnings of the people and advised youths on their moral disposition as the heartbeat of the society.

“The church has trained its new pastors and executed many humanitarian projects to better the lives of people, especially in our host communities.

“The church is 61 years old; its focal point of salvation to mankind has been its driving force to date and we are making projections in years to come to continue to win souls to the glory of God,’’ the church leader said.

Rev. Bayo-Oweyemi expressed regret at the insecurity in the country and admonished citizens to be loyal to constituted authorities while praying to God to intervene in the affairs of the nation.
