The Peoples Democratic Party has threatened to stop further collation and announcement of the presidential election results. The PDP made its position known on Tuesday morning through its agent at the collation centre in Abuja and former Minister, Godsday Orubebe.

Orubebe, who refused to leave the podium, protested that APC’s petition on Rivers State was accepted by INEC, whereas that of the PDP on seven northern states was rejected by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega.

He further complained that he would not allow collation and announcement of results to go ahead until his party’s grievances are attended to. He said Jega was yet to attend to the complaint by the PDP about malpractices in Kano, Jigawa and Yobe States, where the PDP accused the APC of using under aged voters to rig the polls.

Prof Jega, who admitted not accepting the petition, however said that the collation centre is n ot the right place to submit it.
