In a surprising announcement on Monday, Nigerian movie director Moses Inwang revealed the end of his ten-year marriage with actress Emem Inwang via his Instagram page. Acknowledging the difficulty of the decision, Inwang emphasized the necessity of parting ways for their happiness and personal growth.

Describing the separation as a challenging period for both of them, Inwang urged the public to honor and understand their choice as they embark on this new chapter. He assured that their decision would not adversely impact their children, expressing commitment to fostering a positive and healthy co-parenting relationship for the well-being of their boys.

Inwang and Emem had been married since April 2014, having initially met at Emem Isong’s movie premiere. The union, blessed with two sons, Eden and Jordan Inwang, had been unexpected but faced challenges that ultimately led to this decision.

The director, known for his recent project ‘Blood Vessel,’ narrating the story of six young men on a perilous ocean journey, gained recognition in 2012 for his work on the psychological thriller ‘Torn.’ His directorial and production efforts include successful movies like ‘Damage,’ ‘Cold Feet,’ ‘Stalker,’ ‘Last 3 Digits,’ ‘Alter Ego,’ ‘Crazy People,’ ‘American Driver,’ ‘Unroyal,’ ‘Merry Men 2,’ among others.

Similarly, Emem, who won the 2014 Nollywood Movies Awards for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, has been featured in numerous films such as ‘Dr. Love’ (2020), ‘Itoro’ (2013), ‘Lock Down’ (2021), ‘Unroyal’ (2020), ‘Crazy People’ (2018), and more.

As the Nollywood power couple takes a new direction individually, fans and well-wishers are left with mixed emotions, reflecting on the journey of a love story that turned sour.
