Salihu Mustapha, an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Adamawa has lauded President Bola Tinubu’s administration for creating an enabling environment for peace, security and economic development in the country.

Mustapha who was the former National Vice Chairman, North-east of the APC stated this when he paid a royal homage to the Emir of Maiha, Hong and Song Chiefdom on Wednesday.

He expressed confidence that the present administration and the Adamawa government would continue to provide the social services for the citizens.

Mustapha also commended the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, for his commitment and contributions that led to the relative peace being enjoyed, especially in the Adamawa Northern Zone, which once became the Caliphate of Boko Haram.

Mustapha said the purpose of the homage is to solicit prayers and royal blessings for his ambition of becoming the next governor of Adamawa.

He promised that if voted to power he would continue from where Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri stopped.

According to him, as a security expert, he will give priority to the sector for intelligent information through various ways and logistics to security personnel to end insecurity.

Mustapha also promised to work with traditional institutions with respect to culture and traditions for more development in the state like other countries especially China.

“History has shown the importance of the role of traditional leaders and I am ready to restore fit-back for peace and security and good upbringing of our youth to be useful in society,” he said.

According to him, the government alone cannot do everything, hence the need to use traditional institutions by having laws in place to play a vital role.

In his remarks, Yusuf Buba, the campaign coordinator, said the aspirant is a credible person who deserves to govern the state as a Lawyer, former military officer, political analyst and banker.

He solicited the support of traditional leaders and all stakeholders of the party.

In their separate remarks, the traditional leaders assured their support and prayers for the success of the movement.

Mustapha further interacted with APC officials across the Local Government Areas visited and promised to carry them along if voted to power. (NAN)
