The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Governorship Candidate in Rivers, Dr. Gabriel Pidomson has commiserated with Mr Rotimi Amaechi,  vice presidential candidate of the party over the passing of his mother, Mrs Mary Oduah-Amechi, urging the people to emulate her legacies.

In a statement by Mr Remi Njoku, Media Strategist of the Pidomson Campaign Organisation on Friday, Pidomson said he received the news of Ezinne Amaechi’s passing at the age of 84 with a heavy heart.

Pidomson described the late matriarch as a remarkable mother, whose guidance, values, and sacrifices helped lay the foundation for the outstanding leadership and service that her son, a former Minister of transport and former Rivers governor, has rendered to Rivers and Nigeria.

According to Pidomson, the values of strength, service, integrity, and leadership that you have consistently demonstrated in your service to Rivers people and Nigeria are a reflection of the exceptional woman who raised you.

“Mama was indeed a great mother. Though she has departed this earthly life, her prayers, virtues, and enduring legacy will continue to live on through you and in the countless lives you have touched,” the statement said

Pidomson noted that Ezinne Mary Oduah- Amaechi lived a life of faith, strength, compassion, and selfless service to her family, community, Rivers, and Nigeria.

He further stated that Mama’s passing presented an opportunity for all Rivers people to demonstrate the unity, oneness, and love for one another that she preached and practiced throughout her lifetime.

“At this solemn moment, I urge all Rivers people, irrespective of political, ethnic, or religious differences, to honor her memory by embracing the values of peace, harmony, and mutual respect that she exemplified,” he added.

“There can be no better tribute to her life than our collective commitment to the unity and progress of Rivers State,” he said.

Pidomson, on behalf of his family and the entire ADC family in River, extended deepest condolences to the entire Amaechi family and the good people of Ubima.

“May Almighty God grant you and the entire Amaechi family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. May He grant Mama eternal rest and everlasting peace in His heavenly kingdom,”.

The Rivers ADC governorship candidate assured the Amaechi family of his thoughts, prayers, and solidarity during the difficult time.(NAN).
