KADUNA, Feb. 21 (NAN) The Chikun/Kajuru Progressives Youths Vanguard has dismissed allegations that the Federal Constituency was marginalised in the ongoing congresses of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the claims as “mischievous and misleading.”

In a statement issued on Saturday in Kaduna, the group said the publication credited to Messrs. Cafra Caino and Samaila Liman, who described themselves as concerned stakeholders, was aimed at creating a crisis where none existed.

A statement signed by Mr Ayuba Sambo Isah, Chairman of the vanguard, said the individuals did not represent the aspirations of the people of the constituency and accused them of attempting to peddle falsehood regarding the conduct of the party’s congresses.

According to him, one of the signatories to the allegation was actively involved in the congress exercise in his ward and local government, a development the group said contradicted the claim of exclusion.

“We challenge anyone to provide evidence that the executives that emerged from the congresses are not indigenes and residents of Chikun and Kajuru,” Sambo said.

The group maintained that those elected were bona fide members of the constituency and were neither imported nor imposed from outside the area.

It added that while some individuals were allegedly attempting to stir controversy, residents of the constituency were focused on ongoing development projects under the APC administration.

The youths cited road projects in Millennium City, the dualisation of Ungwan Sunday Road, the Romi-Karatudu Road project, and the Kakuri,Nasarawa (Flour Mill Junction) Road, among others, as evidence of infrastructural development in the area.

They also referenced the upgrade of primary healthcare centres, distribution of fertilisers to farmers, construction of schools, and provision of buses to ease transportation challenges for workers as part of the dividends of democracy being enjoyed by the people.

The group advised aggrieved party members to utilise internal mechanisms for dispute resolution rather than resorting to the media.

Sambo reaffirmed its support for the APC- led administrations at the local, state and federal levels, pledging continued loyalty to the party and commitment to its programmes.

“We will not be distracted by the noise of a few disgruntled elements. Our focus remains on consolidating the gains recorded and ensuring victory for our party in future elections,” the group added.(NAN)
