The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) brought together students from universities across the country for a creative pitch presentation competition as part of its Advertising Industry Colloquium (AIC) 4.0 held in Lagos.
The competition, which featured participants from the University of Ilorin, Lagos State University (LASU), Kwara State University (KWASU), Rivers State University (RSU), and Kaduna State University (KASU), provided a platform for aspiring advertising professionals to showcase their creativity, strategic thinking, and campaign development skills before industry stakeholders.
The student contest formed a major highlight of the colloquium themed, “The Future of Advertising: Role of Platforms, People and Regulation,” held at D’Podium Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
Industry leaders, regulators, academics, advertising practitioners, and students gathered at the event to discuss emerging trends shaping the advertising landscape, including digital platforms, technological innovation, talent development, and regulatory frameworks.
The creative pitch session underscored ARCON’s commitment to strengthening collaboration between industry and academia while preparing young professionals for the evolving demands of the advertising sector.
Participants presented campaign ideas and marketing solutions, demonstrating their understanding of contemporary advertising challenges and opportunities in an increasingly digital environment.
Stakeholders at the event noted that investing in young talents remains critical to the future growth and sustainability of Nigeria’s advertising industry.
The colloquium also featured panel discussions and expert sessions examining the role of technology, human creativity, and regulation in shaping the future of advertising in Nigeria and beyond.
