An aircraft belonging to Associated airlines,said to be an Embraer has crashed around Ajao Estate, Lagos. The plane was conveying the corpse of former Ondo State Governor, Agagu and family members alongside other passengers when it crashed during take-off and plunged into a building close to a Tank Farm at the airport, very close to the toll gate of Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
The plane was heading to Akure, the Ondo State capital.According eye witnesses on ground, the plane was totally burnt. According to Dr Oke Osayintolu of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, 11 persons have been confirmed dead and four hospitalised from the crashed Akure bound aircraft.
