Badagry (Lagos State), July 25, 2025 (NAN) The Chairman of Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State, Mr Olusegun Onilude, has dissolved all political appointments and committees, marking the end of his administration’s tenure.
This is contained in a statement by Onilude in Badagry on Friday.
He said that the dissolution is with immediate effect.
According to the chairman, affected positions include: the Secretary to the Local Government, Chief of Staff, all Supervisors, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Personal Assistants.
Others are members of the Revenue Committee, as well as other ad-hoc committees established during his second four-year tenure.

He said the move was part of standard governance protocols, which came as his administration ended.

Onilude expressed gratitude to all appointees for their commitment and contributions through the eight years of his administration.
“Your individual and collective efforts were instrumental in the modest achievements we recorded.
“Together, we faced challenges, pursued progress, and remained resolute in our dedication to the development and well-being of the good people of Badagry,” he said.
He urged all former appointees to remain ambassadors of peace, unity, and good governance in their various communities.
The chairman prayed for continued peace in Badagry, Lagos State, and Nigeria.
