The 20 housemates for the fifth season of reality television show Big Brother Naija entered the House on Sunday evening to kick-start a 71-day battle for the grand prize of N85million.
Organisers of the show, Multichoice Nigeria, had towed the NCDC’s guidelines by keeping the housemates in isolation for over two weeks and ensured there was no live show to usher them in.
After previous editions of the shows have been won by Katung Aduwak (2006), Efe Ejeba (2017), Miracle Igbokwe (2018) and Mercy Eke (2019), 20 housemates have entered the house to vie for the grand prize, as well as fame and glory.
The 20 who were welcomed by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu include Ozo Chukwu, Victoria Adeyele, Nelson Enwerem (Prince), Boluwatife Aderogba (Lilo), Trikytee, Lucy Essien, Dorathy Bachor, Terseer Kiddwaya, Vee, Praise Nelson, Florence Anyansi (Wathoni), Tochukwu Okechukwu (Tochi), Kate Jones (Ka3na), Ngozi Nlewedim (Erica), Eric Akhigbe, Ezekiel Bright (Brighto), Aisha Umaru (Kaisha), Neo, Tolani Shobajo (Tolanibaj), Laycon and Nengi.
The organisers say there is more power for voters via its tiered system, which gives GOtv and DStv an edge.
