Lagos, Feb. 22, 2026 (NAN) The Conquerors Assembly in Lagos on Sunday, distributed food items to the less privileged, to end its Encounter Crusade 3.0 programme.

Senior Pastor of the church, Rev. Hezekiah Duro-Aina, said the initiative was a way of reaching out to the needy, as well as drawing them closer to the Lord.

He stated this during the donation at the church’s auditorium in Akowonjo, adding that the food distribution was part of the church’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the food distribution which included rice and noodles, was part of activities to mark the programme tagged: ‘The Encounter Crusade 3.0’, organised by the church.

Duro-Aina, who preached about the wonders of God’s presence, noted that the presence of God was the answer to all prayers.

While preaching from key biblical texts including Exodus 33:15, 1 Samuel 12:16, among others, he emphasised that the presence of God was the ultimate solution to life’s struggles.

According to him, absolute rest can only be found in God’s presence.

“Nobody can trouble a man who truly encounters the presence of God. What He offers is complete rest.

“There are many who are working hard, taking steps every day, yet making no real progress.

“Without God’s presence, even forward steps can turn into backward movement, but when His presence goes with you, every small step becomes a giant stride,” he said.

He further noted that God was the one who advances people, citing the story of Moses and Aaron.

He added that advancement was not achieved by human effort alone, but by divine backing. (NAN)
