Corporate Giants Rally Behind Realnews’ 11th Anniversary Lecture

A consortium of blue-chip companies and prominent organizations is lending their support to the forthcoming Realnews 11th Anniversary Lecture, set to take place at the Sheraton Hotel on Tuesday, November 7. This impressive lineup of sponsors includes the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigerian Export Import Bank (NEXIM), Chevron Nigeria Limited, Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), FirstBank Nigeria Limited (FBN), Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Dangote Group, National Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Johnwood Hotel, Abuja, and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Realnews, a publication dedicated to investigative journalism, expressed its heartfelt appreciation to these organizations, with Maureen Chigbo, the publisher, offering prayers for their continued success and prosperity. The theme of the Realnews 11th Anniversary Lecture is “Threats of Illicit Funds Flow to Africa.” The event will be chaired by Mohammed Bello-Koko, Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and will feature a keynote address by Mr. Edwin W. Harris Jr., Director General of the ECOWAS Inter-Governmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) based in Senegal. Ahmed Kuru, the Managing Director of Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), will also provide a keynote address.

The lecture, scheduled to commence at 10 am at the Sheraton Hotel, will include Kayode Adebayo, Director of Proceeds of Crime Department at the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), and Felix Obiamalu, Associate Director, Legal and Sanctions at the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), as panel discussants.

The management of Realnews Magazine and Publications Limited, publishers of Realnews Magazine Online, has revealed that an investiture ceremony for all speakers into The Realnews Hall of Fame will follow the lecture. Chigbo explained that the Realnews Hall of Fame was established to honor individuals who have played pivotal roles during the anniversary lectures.
