Eid-el-Fitr: Lagos LG boss urges Muslims to embrace safety

Lagos, March 20, 2026 (NAN) Mr Akinola Idowu, Chairman, Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of  Lagos State has  urged Muslim residents to celebrate responsibly, urging  vigilance,  security consciousness, and  advised  against any form of trouble during the festivities.

This is contained in a statement  by Mr Sunday Adefamoye, Chief Press Secretary to the  Chairman.

Idowu stressed that true celebration lay  in safety, unity and the spirit of the season.

He extended warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to Muslim faithful and residents of the council area on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri.

The council chairman described the festival as a sacred period of joy and reflection, emphasizing the values of love, compassion, unity and peaceful coexistence.

He  noted that the lessons of sacrifice and harmony remained vital in building a stronger and more prosperous community.

He wished all families a peaceful and fulfilling celebration, praying that the season would bring renewed hope, abundant blessings and continued progress to every home. (NAN)
