Sheik Abdul Isola, the Chief Imam of Uwani Islamic Centre, Enugu, has charged Muslim faithful to emulate exemplary life-style of love and selflessness of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in their daily lives.
Isola made the call while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Enugu on the importance of the Eid-el-Maulud to the Muslim faithful in the country.
He urged the faithful to totally emulate the Prophet in character and friendly behaviors to others, which he exhibited while sojourning on earth.
“Muslim faithful should imbibe his message and guidelines for true worship and faithfulness to Almighty Allah.

“The killings in the country, especially in Muslim predominated communities, shows we do not love ourselves and there is little or no fear of Allah among us.
“The selfishness and greed in the society is growing and it does not portray us as people that know or fear Allah notwithstanding how religious we claim to be,” he said.
Isola, who is also the Chief Missioner of the centre, urged Muslims to learn how to do good and love one another; while seeking for the forgiveness from Allah.
“We should help others and allow others to live and progress in life like ourselves,” he said.
He said that the Prophet was sent by Almighty Allah to usher in peace and harmony in the world.
The Federal Government had declared Oct. 19 as public holiday for the Eid-el-Maulud. (NAN)
