Ex-international seeks investments in sports facilities

Seun Akinwale, an ex-international basketball player, has called on corporate organisations to invest in sports facilities to help develop sports, especially basketball.

Akinwale, the Chief Executive Officer of Prime B.B., a firm into construction of basketball courts, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lagos.

He said that “he is delighted in contributing to the development of basketball in Nigeria.”

According to him, investments in sports facilities will help players develop their skills to compete well in games.

“I am yet again proud to deliver another game-changing project, a state-of-the-art multipurpose court at Government College Lagos, Eric Moore.

“This stunning 3-in-1 court is designed to support basketball, tennis, and volleyball, thus providing students with a vibrant, functional, and professional-grade facility right on their school grounds.

“The essence of this project is to put up smart space management: one court, endless possibilities—maximizing space while accommodating multiple sports,Akinwale added.

He added that, utilising top-quality design from the sleek basketball uprights to the durable tennis and volleyball poles, every detail was built to inspire.

“By investing in modern sports facilities, the corporate world will be helping to discover young talents and sharpen them into tomorrow’s sports stars.

“Sports keep students active, disciplined, and focused, as well as reduce distractions and promote healthy competition.

“This government-backed initiative is a shining example of how schools can foster sports development and nurture future professionals.

“Schools and institutions across Nigeria can follow this model to transform their sports facilities, ensuring every student has a chance to shine,Akinwale said. (NAN)
