The Founder, Digitix Ltd., Mr Abraham Olola, has called on the Federal Government to provide training to its workforce to bridge digital skills gap in the country.

Olola, who gave the advice on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, said the training was necessary to enable civil servants cope with emerging technologies and trends.

“Government should provide digital skills training and resources to its workers to stay competitive in the job market and adapt to new digital technologies.”

The founder, who described Digitix as Abuja based tech company that was into software training, said that government’s workers needed to  keep their digital skills up-to-date.

According to him, there is also need for government to address the technological needs and challenges of its workforce to achieve a thriving digital economy.

He added that a thriving digital economy commenced  with workers who could navigate the changing work landscape in the digital age.

“All public and private companies must invest in technology and training for their workers to successfully navigate digital transformation,’’ he said.

He said identifying the technologies and digital tools to improve workers’ skills  would help government and private businesses to enhance their productivity and operations.

Olola said the government could further  help its workers to get a technological balance by providing digital marketing, social media marketing, and branding trainings that could promote and support digital transformation.

“ By leveraging digital marketing and branding strategies, Federal Government’s workers can enhance their online presence and stay competitive in the digital economy.

“By investing in the right strategies and working with the right partners, companies can successfully navigate this transformation and thrive in the digital economy,’’ he said. (NAN)
